Overview
At Lupa, we're hiring for an AI Engineer II to join a fast-growing US sales and marketing consultancy that's building out its AI engineering team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design and ship AI agents that an entire company runs on—not experiments that sit on a shelf, but production tools that power the revenue-driving teams.
You've built AI agents before. Now you'll build the system a whole company relies on. You'll design agents that help finance and sales analysts get real answers from data across many systems, and you'll be the critical bridge between the technology and the business leaders who use it. It's a scrappy, innovative, high-intensity environment where status quo isn't accepted and thinking outside the box is the norm.
This is a 100% remote role, working from Latin America alongside a US-based team. ⚠️ Needs recruiter input: confirm target countries (Colombia, Costa Rica, and Argentina were discussed as advantageous; engagement model leaning toward contractor-of-record).
What You'll Do
Design, build, and deploy AI agents that connect enterprise tools, APIs, and data sources
Build agentic pipelines and RAG systems on Snowflake and/or Databricks
Meet with business stakeholders, understand what they need, and explain solutions in plain language
Lead prototyping and turn successful experiments into production-ready tools
Evaluate and implement AI platforms like Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, and Snowflake Cortex
Support and mentor an AI Engineer I as a go-to teammate
Continuously improve the performance and reliability of the AI tools you ship
Who You Are
Must-haves
3–5 years of hands-on experience in AI/GenAI, data, or enterprise technology
Advanced Python skills for building AI applications
Proven experience building AI agents: tool integrations, API orchestration, MCP servers, and connecting enterprise systems
Hands-on work with Snowflake and/or Databricks, plus RAG in production
Experience with cloud platforms, CRMs, and modern data setups (vector databases, data lakes)
Strong spoken and written English (C1 or above) for clear, confident collaboration with US stakeholders
Nice-to-haves
Experience supporting finance or sales analytics teams
TypeScript or R
Certifications such as AI-102, SnowPro Core, or Salesforce AI Associate
A "forward-deployed" mindset—comfortable shipping quickly and building ecosystems end to end
What's In It For You
Real impact: your agents power the company's revenue-driving teams
Ground-floor role: help define how a growing company builds with AI
Great leadership: work directly with a senior AI team lead and the CTO
Variety: the latest tools, real business problems, and a mix of building and strategy
Room to grow: gain mentoring experience and visibility with executives
100% remote from Latin America, collaborating with a US team on US business hours
Payment in USD via a EOR engagement, giving you currency stability and flexibility as well as long-term and stable employment.
