The Role
As an AI Tools Associate, you will join a lean, remote team dedicated to vetting the tools we use for client engagements. You will spend your time testing how different software platforms handle financial datasets and reporting requirements, specifically for our work with a partner in the international development sector. This is not about chasing trends: it is about determining which tools actually help us find the truth in a balance sheet and which ones are just noise.
Because we are a remote organization, you will have the autonomy to manage your own research while maintaining close communication with senior principals who will guide your technical development. The focus here is on logic and verification. You will be expected to look under the hood of new technologies to ensure they provide accurate, repeatable results that stand up to professional scrutiny.

What You Will Be Doing

• Researching and testing new software that automates the extraction of data from unstructured financial documents.
• Drafting reports that compare the accuracy and cost efficiency of different models for economic forecasting.
• Setting up internal databases to track the performance of various automated workflows over time.
• Building simple prompts and scripts to help our senior consultants process large volumes of regional economic data.
• Assisting in the audit of automated outputs to ensure they meet our standards for financial accuracy and logic.
• Documenting the limitations of current tools so our team knows where human intervention is strictly required.
• Gathering requirements from our international development partner to ensure the tools we select fit their specific regulatory and data privacy needs.
• Participating in weekly review meetings to present your findings on new software capabilities and potential flaws.

What You Bring
