The Role
We're hiring one AI Video Editor who edits with code, not just prompts. Using Claude Code and GitHub-based tooling, you'll turn our raw Meta ad footage, Instagram content and YouTube videos into finished edits, automating transcription, clip selection, cropping, captions and assembly, at 5–10× the output of a traditional editor and a quality we'd put real ad spend behind. HeyGen, ElevenLabs and Seedance come in for clone videos and B-roll, but the core of the job is editing real footage with code.
This is not a generative-video role. If your portfolio is AI-generated content (Kling, Seedance, Veo, Midjourney and similar, videos built from prompts rather than raw footage), this isn't the fit. We need someone who builds and runs an editing pipeline on real footage, using Claude Code / GitHub-based apps as the backbone.
Why this role exists
Editing is our biggest bottleneck. Current editors work manually (iMovie, Premiere Pro); first-pass approval sits at ~30%. We need 70%+. We've seen what one editor + Claude Code can do: a 90-minute video in, transcribed, key moments picked, finished clip out in minutes for a few dollars.
What we want, in this order
- Output — dozens of 1–3 minute edits a week, 70%+ approved first pass, launched on schedule.
- The pipeline — Claude Code and GitHub-based tooling as the backbone: automated transcription, clip selection, cropping, captions, assembly on real footage. HeyGen + ElevenLabs for clone videos, Seedance for B-roll are secondary to this, not a substitute for it. You build it, you own it, you fix it when it breaks.
- The team — you train our editors on the workflow. Within 90 days, we decide together whether the team upskills or you carry more volume yourself.
Not this: motion graphics/animation, scriptwriting, compliance review, agency work, or a role built around AI video generation instead of AI-assisted editing of real footage. One person, hired for output and mindset, not the cheapest rate.
Six months in: 70–80% first-pass approval · you own a Claude Code/GitHub-based editing pipeline that you can fix when it breaks · you've trained the team and output is up while headcount is down · ads launch same-day, nobody chases them.
What you'll do: high-volume Meta ad edits from real raw footage (~25 ads + 10 variations in flight, ~10 new concepts/week/avatar) · short-form Instagram content · long-form YouTube + pipeline-driven clips/highlights · testimonials cut into before/after ads · pre-edited clip libraries the wider editor team can drag-and-drop from.
- An AI-driven editing workflow, built on Claude Code or another AI agent/coding-based editing platform, as the core of how you work: automating transcription, clip selection, cropping, captions and assembly on real footage. You should be able to describe a pipeline you've actually run, not just tools you've used to generate clips.
- AI avatar and AI voice production (HeyGen, ElevenLabs or equivalent) for clone videos.
- Generative AI video (Seedance, Veo, Kling or equivalent) for B-roll — secondary to the editing pipeline above, not a substitute for it.
- Short-form direct response ad craft: hooks, pacing, captions, retention, for Meta, Instagram and YouTube.
- An active habit of tracking and testing new AI editing tools.
- Work from Anywhere: fully remote position, with 3 or more hours of daily overlap with Central European Time.
- Ownership & Impact: you won't just execute edits, you'll build and own our AI editing pipeline, at a company that changes lives every day.
