Its mission centers on supporting African educators with AI literacy, building AI-driven schools with modern infrastructure, and promoting free, high-quality education for every African child. Through partnerships with organizations such as ACM, CSTA, Kira Learning, and Microsoft, AICESA AI delivers programs in teacher training, curriculum innovation, policy advocacy, research, and AI-powered learning platforms. Role Description The AICESA AI YOUTH Executive Leader is a volunteer, remote role responsible for guiding and coordinating youth-focused initiatives within the organization. In this role, the leader supports the design and implementation of AI and digital skills programs for young people, collaborates with educators and partners, and helps organize virtual events, workshops, and community outreach activities. The position involves engaging youth across Africa, gathering feedback to improve programs, and promoting participation in AICESA AI learning platforms, challenges, and mentoring opportunities. The Executive Leader contributes to strategic planning for youth engagement, prepares clear communication materials, and works closely with AICESA AI leadership to align youth initiatives with the broader mission of digital equity and inclusive education. This role offers the opportunity to build leadership experience, shape youth-focused innovation in education, and foster a supportive pan-African network of young digital leaders.

Qualifications

• Possesses strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills to manage youth programs and collaborative projects.
• Demonstrates interest or experience in artificial intelligence, computer science, or digital skills education, particularly in African contexts.
• Shows excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse youth audiences and work effectively in virtual teams.
• Has experience or motivation to work in non-profit, community-based, or educational initiatives, especially those focused on equity and inclusion.
• Comfortable using online collaboration tools, social media, and digital platforms to organize events, share resources, and build community.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and commit consistent volunteer hours in a remote environment.
• Background in education, youth leadership, STEM clubs, student organizations, or related activities is beneficial but not required.
• Fluency in English is preferred; additional African or international languages are a plus.
