Job Overview The AML Governance & Quality Control Specialist supports the AML Governance Officer and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in overseeing and strengthening the company’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) governance framework. The role ensures ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The Specialist is mainly responsible for maintaining robust quality assurance processes to monitor, evaluate, and support the enhancement of the effectiveness of AML controls, policies, and procedures. This includes conducting assessments and reviews to identify gaps, ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, and support continuous improvement in AML compliance. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Conduct regular high-depositor spot checks for all jurisdictions. Conduct regular spot checks and quality reviews across all AML verticals, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), ongoing monitoring, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and SAR/STR processes. Perform spot checks on Supplier Due Diligence. Review customer risk assessments to ensure appropriate risk assessments, documentation, and decision-making are completed and properly recorded. Test the effectiveness, accuracy, and consistency of AML business risk assessment controls across jurisdictions. Track findings from spot checks and ensure timely remediation and follow-up with relevant teams. Policy & Procedure Management Support with the update of Policies & Procedures for all jurisdictions. Audit & Regulatory Compliance Support internal audits related to AML. Assist in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Training & Development Draft and update AML training materials. Update workshop training content as required. Requirements: 1-2 years of experience in AML compliance or a related area. Good knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices. Familiarity with AML processes such as Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and SAR/STR procedures. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Good organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. What we offer A hybrid working model.
