Job Description

Capital planning sits at the heart of how Danske Bank balances financial resilience with sustainable growth. As part of a close-knit analytical team, you will contribute to decisions that enable the bank to serve its customers and support its strategic ambitions. This is a role where your work genuinely matters and where you will build a solid foundation in capital management.

What You Will Be Doing

The Capital Planning team is part of Financial Resource Management in Group Treasury, sitting within Danske Bank's CFO area. The team of seven works on capital target setting, capital issuances, dividend decisions and macroeconomic stress testing. Your analyses and reports will receive close attention from the Executive Leadership Team, the Board of Directors and financial regulators. The atmosphere is collaborative, with knowledge sharing and learning woven into everyday working life, and the team takes pride in delivering high-quality work while enjoying the process.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support monthly capital and MREL assessments and projections
  • Analyse the effects of regulatory and model changes with relevant teams
  • Contribute to stress tests and assessments of capital targets and buffers
  • Help analyse payout capacity and capital and MREL funding needs
  • Prepare decision material and gradually take ownership of defined deliverables

About You

  • Master's degree in economics, finance, business administration or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to communicate complex findings clearly in English
  • Curious and collaborative, with an interest in learning and developing within the field
  • Comfortable working independently on defined tasks while contributing to team goals

Experience in banking or capital management, and familiarity with Python, SQL or similar tools, would be a welcome addition. We consider candidates at different stages of their career, so we encourage you to apply whether you are just starting out or bring a few years of relevant experience.

What We Offer You

You will join a dedicated team where collaboration and continuous learning are part of daily work. We work in a hybrid model, with three to four days per week in the office to support knowledge sharing and team cohesion. You will have room to develop your analytical skills, deepen your understanding of capital management, and take on increasing responsibility over time.

Are you ready for the next step?

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we would be glad to hear from you. Feel free to reach out to hiring manager Henrik Bang at hban@danskebank.dk if you have any questions about the role before applying.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible or by 22 November 2026 at the latest.

We look forward to hearing from you!
