Analytics Team Lead - BI & Analytics Leadership | Power BI | Qlik Sense | Databricks
€100,000–€110,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits | Hybrid in city center 3 times a week
Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is looking for a CFS Analytics Team Lead to provide both technical and people leadership across its Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you’ll manage a distributed team of BI developers while remaining closely involved in solution architecture, data governance and technology strategy. You’ll help shape scalable analytics solutions as part of a wider enterprise data transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of enterprise BI and analytics solutions using Qlik Sense, Power BI/Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
- Manage, mentor and develop a distributed team of BI developers across multiple regions.
- Remain hands-on with solution architecture and complex data solutions.
- Define and enforce BI development, administration and data governance standards.
- Design effective integration patterns between Databricks and BI semantic layers.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Cloud and business stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted BI development within appropriate governance standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve the analytics platform.
Must-Haves
- Proven experience leading and mentoring technical/BI development teams.
- 5+ years' experience developing BI solutions, queries and database objects using RDBMS technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern BI and analytics platforms, including technologies such as Power BI/Microsoft Fabric and Qlik Sense.
- 5+ years' experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
- Experience delivering complex enterprise data solutions and working with Databricks.
- Strong understanding of ELT/ETL principles and AI/ML implementation patterns.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and BI development standards.
- Programming experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with Git, Agile delivery and API development/integration.
- Strong solution architecture, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS services including S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, IAM and CloudFormation.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Experience using AI coding assistants, such as Kiro, Amazon Q or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong technical documentation experience.
- Experience introducing emerging technologies into enterprise environments.
