We are looking for an experienced Application and Integration Architect to design and evolve enterprise application, data and integration architectures across complex ICT environments. The role combines enterprise architecture, systems integration, technology evaluation and technical leadership to ensure scalable, secure and business-aligned solutions.

As an Application and Integration Architect, you will:

  • Design and maintain enterprise application, integration, database and data architectures, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Architect enterprise integration solutions, including APIs, connectors, integration flows, service bus solutions and hybrid integrations across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Analyse business, user and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure and maintainable architectures and solution designs.
  • Define and maintain architecture standards, principles, patterns and technical documentation, contributing to the Enterprise Architecture repository.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and architectural approaches, including TIBCO or MuleSoft integration platforms, cloud solutions, container-based technologies and serverless solutions.
  • Lead and provide technical direction to development teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, contributing to design, development, testing, quality assurance and change management.
  • Assess and optimise solutions from performance, security, capacity, scalability and quality perspectives, using system metrics and architecture reviews.
  • Communicate architecture decisions and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders, producing architecture models, presentations and documentation using recognised modelling approaches and tools.

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a similar Application, Integration or Enterprise Architecture role
  • Proficiency in English, confirmed by a recognised language certification.
  • Proven experience as a key architect in the implementation of at least one enterprise-wide integration platform, with expert knowledge of API, data and systems integration.
  • Strong knowledge of integration platforms such as TIBCO or MuleSoft, SOA, databases, application servers, communication middleware, web applications, cloud integration patterns and SDLC.
  • Experience with integration patterns, architecture styles and standards, hybrid cloud/on-premises environments, serverless and containerisation technologies, and DevSecOps.
  • Proficiency in UML and ArchiMate, with practical experience using modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect or equivalent; knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or Azure Well-Architected Framework is an advantage.
  • At least two certifications from the following: Iasa Architect CIT-A, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, TIBCO Certified Associate, or Certified SOA Architect, or an internationally recognised equivalent certification.
  • Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving and technical leadership skills.
