7-Eleven is looking for a hands-on Art Director as part of 7-Eleven’s in-house agency, The Corner Shop, to help shape and deliver bold integrated campaigns!
We’re looking for an art director to the visual side of integrated campaign delivery, from first idea to final craft. Reporting to the Creative Lead, you'll work in a creative team with a copywriter.
You’ll take ideas across every channel and brand need, shaping briefs, presenting to clients and delivering the work. Working closely with The Corner Shop’s copywriter, designers as well as external partners, the Art Director will actively shape the big idea, developing visual concepts with channel-first thinking with a strong grasp of strategic and commercial outcomes.
With a clear point of view of how an idea visually lives across all channels (in store, OOH, digital, experiential), the art director is responsible for developing concepts and taking it through to final creative output. They’ll bring a strong point of view and concepting craft, with a practical understanding of how the work is delivered.
Key responsibilities:
- Develops big, channel-agnostic visual creative ideas for campaigns and take them through to execution across OOH, digital, social and content
- Partner with copywriter to develop concepts, scripts and campaign platforms and territories
- Independently develop creative concepts for various briefs across the full channel suite
- Articulates creative rationale grounded in strategic thinking throughout the creative process
- Present work to clients, responding to feedback constructively
- Develops an idea clearly through visual references, scamps, mock ups throughout the creative development process
- Translates approved creative concepts into clear, actionable briefs for internal design teams and production partners
- Support delivery of photo and motion shoots, working closely with various production partners
- Work closely with account and production teams to deliver the work
- Proactively finds new, aligned opportunities for 7-Eleven to actively show up in cultureActively participates in creative brainstorms to support idea generation across creative team
Essential:
- Proven experience in a senior art director role within an agency environment
- A strong portfolio of integrated brand campaigns that show strong ideas and excellent craft
- Experience working collaboratively in a creative team with copywriter
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across creative and marketing functions
- Proven experience working with production partners on film and stills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple projects to deadline
- Comfortable with scamps as much as refining concepts digitally
Desirable:
- Experience working across retail or FMCG
- AWARD School (or similar)
