At Nexal IIT, we're doing things differently. This isn't a traditional job or a standard internship—it’s an open collaboration program designed for aspiring AI engineers and practitioners to gain hands-on, real-world experience. If you are self-taught, a student, or transitioning careers, this is a space for you to work on actual artificial intelligence challenges, build your portfolio, and learn by doing alongside our team.

What You’ll Do

• Develop & Integrate AI: Help build and integrate smart solutions using state-of-the-art APIs (like OpenAI, Gemini, or Anthropic) or open-source models into real applications.
• Train & Fine-Tune Models: Assist in processing datasets and fine-tuning machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision models.
• Prompt Engineering: Design, test, and systematically refine prompts to optimize the output, context retention, and reliability of Large Language Models (LLMs) for specific business tasks.
• Evaluate & Optimize: Test AI model performance, troubleshoot edge cases, and analyze outputs to ensure accuracy, speed, and safety.

Who You Are

• Passionate about artificial intelligence and eager to learn (no specific computer science degree required).
• Solid grasp of Python and standard data manipulation libraries (such as Pandas or NumPy).
• Familiar with foundational AI concepts, including machine learning algorithms, deep learning basics, or NLP.
• Bonus points: If you have hands-on experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, tools like LangChain or Hugging Face, or have built an AI-powered project or chatbot before.
• Curious, driven, and comfortable asking questions.
