We are seeking a capable, commercially minded Assistant Claims Manager to join our Claims team. This role is key to strengthening our Claims capability, supporting business growth, and enhancing service consistency across key lines of business.


The successful candidate will handle complex claims, with a strong focus on Commercial General Liability (CGL), while also supporting to the development of our Financial Lines claims capability. This position is ideal for professionals who combine strong technical expertise with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and brokers.


You will be expected to:

  • Manage end-to-end handling of complex casualty and liability claims, particularly CGL, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Assist the development of Financial Lines claims capability, including exposure to D&O, PI, Cyber and related specialty lines
  • Conduct in-depth investigations to assess liability, policy coverage, and quantum, while coordinating with stakeholders such as adjusters, legal experts, and third-party service providers
  • Drive effective, value-based claim resolution, achieving fair and optimal settlement outcomes within delegated authority
  • Provide technical support to the team, including advancing work simplification and automation initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, governance, and internal standards throughout the claims lifecycle
  • Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders to support strong relationship management
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to share insights, provide guidance, and ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide general support to the team on ad hoc tasks and projects as required


The right fit person will have/be:

  • 5 years or above experience in Casualty / Liability claims handling, with exposure to Commercial General Liability (CGL) and preferably complex or litigated cases
  • Exposure to Financial Lines claims (e.g. D&O, PI, Cyber) will be an advantage
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Claims Specialist
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree or above, or equivalent working experience
  • Holder of professional qualifications such as ANZIIF (Senior) is preferred
  • Solid understanding of policy coverage, liability assessment, and claims investigation, including coordination with legal and external parties
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, brokers, and service providers
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and standard office software (e.g. Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint)
  • A good team player with a positive and growth mindset
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible in adapting to business changes
  • Immediate availability will be an advantage
