Assistant Manager – Economic Development

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career who’s ready to grow. You’ll join a purpose-driven team working on high-impact international development programmes – think infrastructure, urban development, climate resilience and private sector growth.

We’re looking for someone who’s highly organised, confident with budgets and Excel, and not afraid to take initiative. You’ll be tracking deliverables, managing logistics and reporting, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to meaningful work that spans Africa and beyond.

You’ll also be working closely with technical teams, getting exposure to donor-funded projects, and learning what it takes to lead complex programmes. This role is designed as a stepping stone into more responsibility – we’re looking for someone who wants to grow fast and is ready for that challenge.

You’ll need:

• 1–3 years’ project management experience (in development or consulting would be ideal)

• A relevant degree (postgrad preferred)

• Strong writing, communication and financial skills

• Sharp attention to detail and a proactive mindset

• Willingness to travel, including to fragile or remote regions at short notice
