The Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is the first point of contact for adult safeguarding concerns across Wiltshire. The team provides a single, central point for adult safeguarding concerns, ensuring that concerns are reviewed quickly, information is shared effectively between partner agencies, and safeguarding decisions are made in a coordinated way

Following some changes, our Adults Multiagency Safeguarding Hub has an exciting new opportunity – Assistant Team Manager.

The postholder will provide professional leadership, oversight and support to the Adult MASH, ensuring high-quality safeguarding practice and effective decision-making. The role includes supervising and mentoring staff, quality assuring practice, managing performance, leading on service improvements and working closely with partner agencies to deliver effective multi-agency safeguarding responses. The postholder also contributes to operational planning, chairs complex meetings, supports service development, and promotes continuous learning to achieve positive outcomes for adults at risk.

To be successful in this role you will be a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with extensive experience in adult safeguarding, safeguarding enquiries and multi-agency working. You will have strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and relevant legislation, experience of supervising or managing staff, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to lead meetings, drive service improvements and build effective relationships with professionals, service users and carers.

This position comes with a 7.5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
