Assistant to the Chair

The European Pirates is an association of political parties united around the pirate manifesto and a shared commitment to digital-age civil liberties. The organization focuses on civil rights, citizen participation, and open government, promoting transparency and democratic engagement across Europe. Key policy areas include copyright and patent system reform, open access, open data, and net neutrality. The European Pirates also champion free software and libre culture, working to ensure that technology supports an open and inclusive society.

The Outreach Team of the European Pirates is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant to the Chair to work in the Board Support Unit of the Outreach Team.

Role Description: The Assistant to the Chair is a volunteer, remote role supporting the Chair with administrative, coordination, and communication tasks such as assisting the Chair to prepare for meetings, taking notes at meetings attended by the Chair, and other relevant tasks delegated to them.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping the Chair
• Ensuring necessary tasks are completed prior to Board and Council meetings
• Various other tasks.

• You have prior knowledge on the standard procedures of organisational meetings
• You have experience working in associations or clubs
