As the Assistant Vice President for Logistics, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing the logistics function within the CORP_L.I.F.E._L.I.F.E. department. Your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient logistics operations while achieving service level agreements (SLAs). This role involves team development, attrition management, and vendor development, including arranging backup vendors. Additionally, you will be functionally responsible for critical initiatives related to information security, business continuity, and compliance with various certifications. Manage and maintain smooth logistics operations for all respective geographic regions. Proactively drive results, anticipate issues, and mitigate risks to avoid reactive decision-making. Conduct regular internal checks and physical verifications to ensure the effective implementation of systems and processes. Develop and nurture a strong vendor base, maximizing value for EXL, and build adequate backups for core deliverables to ensure uptime. Initiate regular team meetings to foster open communication, seek inputs, and resolve issues within the team and department. Optimize resources and drive cost savings within the department, aiming for a 5-7% reduction in the approved budget. Create a responsive and customer-centric environment, ensuring timely internal deadline management and quick turnaround times for pending issues. Demonstrate strong organizational skills in managing projects and initiatives. Collaborate with internal customers, enabling functions, and clients to ensure a seamless logistics experience. Engage with local government authorities for liaison and coordination as required. Graduate or Post-Graduate degree with industry-specific knowledge or a service industry background. Working knowledge of functional areas including electro-mechanical, projects, logistics, and travel. 7-9 years of relevant experience in logistics or a related field. Strong customer focus and collaboration skills. Effective decision-making abilities and a results-oriented mindset. Excellent people management skills with an eye for detail and quality. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in financial management and MIS reporting. Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
