Job Description
Key responsibilities
Strategy Development & Strategic Insights:
- Support the development of Group strategy, long-term growth priorities, and strategic planning exercises;
- Conduct analysis of macroeconomic, industry, competitive, and banking trends to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic implications;
- Develop data-driven insights and recommendations on business performance, capital allocation, investments, and value creation opportunities.
- Prepare strategic analyses, presentations, and management papers for senior management and Board discussions.
Strategy Execution & Performance Management:
- Develop and monitor strategic and financial KPIs, and provide regular performance reporting to senior management.
- Support governance, prioritisation, and assessment of strategic investments and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with Group objectives and expected returns.
- Act as secretariat for key management committees, ensuring effective decision-making, governance, and follow-through on agreed actions.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, business planning, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or similar analytical roles.
- Strong understanding of banking and financial services, including key performance metrics, financial statements, profitability drivers, balance sheet management, and capital allocation concepts.
- Experience in financial modelling, valuation, business case development, or investment analysis is highly desirable.
Core Skills & Attributes
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial acumen, with the ability to translate large datasets into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
- Sound understanding of banking financials and key value drivers, including revenue growth, profitability, returns, cost efficiency, asset quality, liquidity, and capital metrics.
- Highly logical, structured, and hypothesis-driven thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent data interpretation and storytelling skills, combining rigorous analysis with clear communication.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and synthesise complex issues into concise recommendations.
- Strong work ethic, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to work across a broad range of strategic, financial, and business topics.
Preferred
- CFA charterholder or CFA candidate (Level II/III completed preferred).
- Proficient with Bloomberg, S&P, etc
- Prior experience in equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, strategic finance, or banking strategy.
- Familiarity with banking performance metrics.
