OneMain is seeking an Associate Director of Production Strategy & Analytics to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth plans, managing production performance, and driving data-informed business decisions.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role at the center of the company's growth planning, production management, and performance analytics, with regular exposure to senior leaders, from Managing Directors to Executive Vice Presidents.

The role owns several business-critical processes that help the company establish growth expectations, monitor performance against plan, anticipate emerging risks and opportunities, and drive timely corrective actions. It also offers significant opportunities to modernize existing capabilities through AI, automation, and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Monthly Production Planning & Performance Management

  • Establish monthly production targets for Applications, Loans, and New Money, incorporating seasonality estimates, recent business trends, planned initiatives, and management overlays. Communicate and cascade aligned targets and assumptions to stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Credit.
  • Monitor intra-month production performance, diagnose key drivers of variance, and partner across functions to identify emerging risks, opportunities, and potential corrective actions.
  • Lead mid-month and month-end performance reviews, providing senior management with clear insights into results, underlying drivers, changes in outlook, and performance against targets.

2. Lead Annual Budgeting & Quarterly Reforecasting

  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly production forecasts for Applications, Loans, Average Loan Size, and New Money, incorporating seasonality, recent trends, strategic initiatives, and evolving business conditions.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Credit, Operations, and Finance to align assumptions, critically evaluate inputs, and translate business strategies into credible, actionable production forecasts.
  • Build New Money walks and driver-based analyses that explain changes in the production outlook, quantify the impact of key assumptions, and deliver a clear, compelling narrative to senior leadership.

3. Executive Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Lead the Competitive Intelligence reporting package, synthesizing affiliate performance, market data, competitor earnings, industry trends, and relevant developments into actionable insights for senior management.
  • Track and analyze marketing unit economics and customer acquisition costs, identifying meaningful changes, emerging trends, and opportunities to improve marketing efficiency and business performance.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting and ad hoc analyses, translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations that inform strategic and operational decisions.

4. Continuously Modernize & Improve the Function

  • Build and deploy AI-enabled tools and agents to automate recurring workflows, accelerate diagnostics, and improve the speed and quality of business decision-making.
  • Drive continuous process improvement through automation, stronger controls, and more effective analytical methods, enhancing efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Develop new analytical capabilities and monitoring tools that enable the organization to detect emerging trends earlier, diagnose performance issues faster, and respond more effectively.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree preferred in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or Computer Science.

- 8+ years of experience in analytics, business performance management, forecasting, or complex data-driven problem-solving.

- Strong analytical instincts, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, data-driven solutions to complex business problems.
