This strategic merger expands JB&B's capabilities and offers employees: Access to a broader portfolio of international projects and clients Enhanced career mobility across Trinity's global network Interdisciplinary collaboration with experts in sustainability, environmental science, and digital infrastructure About the Role We are seeking an Associate who will provide exceptional design and project management services and is comfortable leading internal design teams as well as working in a client facing project management position. This position manages a variety of projects from concept to completion and is committed to the project's success. This position focuses on the data center projects but is also expected to handle other similar mechanical engineering design projects commensurate with our portfolio of commercial MEP projects. Key Responsibilities Lead MEP design teams for both greenfield and retrofit data center projects Define HVAC technical requirements and coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and fire protection teams Develop and refine office design standards for the Data Center and Mission Critical sectors Collaborate across disciplines to create integrated technical solutions Coordinate with Energy Modeling teams to optimize for energy efficiency and carbon reduction while maintaining 7x24 reliability Provide technical guidance to internal and third-party commissioning teams Represent JB&B at industry events, conferences, and seminars to build brand recognition Travel to client and project sites across the U.S. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience 10 years of experience in facility design and construction environments Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of data center HVAC, standby generation and associated fuel oil systems Experience with Revit Professional Engineering (PE) license, preferred Experience with Chiller, Cooling Towers, AHU, Heat Pumps and Generator designs Experience with energy modeling Experience process water flushing and treatment. Experience with Building Controls Systems Understanding of ASHRAE 90.1,90.4 and TC 9.9 publications 1-14 Working Conditions: This position involves sitting, walking, and periods of prolonged standing. Site visits may require use of ladders or lifts and working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions. Occasional lifting of equipment may be required. Due to the 24x7 nature of data center operations, occasional night and weekend work is expected to support system commissioning. Why Work at JB&B?
