AU Bookkeeper (For Pooling)
PeopleGigPeopleGig is currently recruiting experienced Australian Bookkeepers for multiple client opportunities supporting Australian businesses and accounting practices.
The opportunities vary in scope and seniority, from hands-on transactional bookkeeping through to broader accounting, compliance preparation, payroll, financial reporting, and analytical/advisory support. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.
This requisition will serve as a central candidate pool, with candidates assessed and matched to the most suitable active client opportunity based on their Australian experience, technical capability, preferred working hours, and level of responsibility.
Core Experience We're Looking For
- Previous hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience supporting Australian businesses or Australian accounting firms
- Xero experience
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Transaction coding and allocation
- AP/AR exposure
- Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong English communication skills
Experience That May Be Required Depending on the Client
- BAS/IAS preparation
- Australian payroll, STP and superannuation
- Australian accounting practice experience
- Xero Practice Manager / Xero Tax
- Month-end accounting
- Financial and management reporting
- Tax preparation
- Advanced Excel
- Variance analysis and financial analysis
- Multi-client portfolio experience
- Broader accounting/advisory support
Important: Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this talent pool. Candidates with local/non-Australian bookkeeping experience only should not progress.
