Automation Quality Assurance Engineer (JS/Playwright)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with a strong expertise in Playwright to join our team and bring high quality to our high-loaded edtech application.

Responsibilities:

• Writing automated JavaScript tests using the Playwright framework;
  
• It's possible that our new colleague may face manual testing, e.g. 10–30% of your workload;
  
• Organising the testing process on the projects;
  
• Maintaining project testing documentation;
  
• Developing and maintaining internal automation libraries;
  
• Actively using AI tools to speed up test creation, refactoring, and documentation.
  

Requirements

• 2–3 years of commercial experience in AQA with Playwright;
  
• Knowledge of main autotest design patterns, test design techniques and ability to apply them within automation;
  
• Knowledge of SQL and understanding of REST API principles;
  
• Experience automating UI testing using Playwright;
  
• Ability to find solutions independently and work in a team;
  
• Proactivity, willingness to learn, improve skills and share knowledge;
  
• English level proficiency: upper-intermediate to be able to communicate with native-speaker clients upon request;
  
• ​Ability to work 11:00-20:00 GMT+3 and being located close to that timezone.
  

Would be a plus:

• Hands-on experience with AI tools for QA — e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT/Claude for generating and refactoring autotests, analysing failures, and drafting test documentation;
  
• Working experience with other frameworks, CI/CD;
  
• Understanding of HTTP and other network protocols;
  
• Professional background as a Manual QA.
