AVP Insurance

Peak Performance are recruiting an experienced AVP Insurance professional to take ownership of an aviation insurance programme covering an international portfolio of aircraft and engines.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aviation insurance specialist to oversee insurance compliance, manage the lessor's insurance programme, support leasing transactions and lead claims and recoveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the aviation insurance programme, including hull, liability, contingent and possessed cover.
• Review lessee insurance certificates, endorsements and renewals, ensuring compliance with lease and financing requirements.
• Lead annual insurance renewals and negotiate with brokers, insurers and reinsurers.
• Advise on insurance provisions within aircraft lease agreements and financing documentation.
• Support aircraft transitions, repossessions, sales and lease extensions.
• Manage insurance claims and recoveries, including total loss, liability and war-risk events.
• Act as the key insurance adviser to Legal, Contracts, Technical, Finance and senior management.

Requirements

• 7–10 years' experience in aviation insurance within an aircraft lessor, airline, specialist broker or underwriting organisation.
• Strong knowledge of aviation hull, liability and war-risk insurance.
• Experience with lessor insurance structures and aircraft lease documentation.
• Hands-on claims management experience.
• Knowledge of international insurance markets and sanctions-related risks.
• ACII / CII qualification or equivalent desirable.
