Bill Station is a dynamic fintech platform transforming how users interact with digital payments, telecom services, and financial tools. We provide seamless access to bill payments, airtime purchases, utility services, and more all from one centralized app. We're expanding and seeking a talented Support Developer to help power our growth and maintain technical excellence.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Support Developer who has strong experience with Python and Djang to join our team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining and improving backend systems, managing technical partnerships, integrating APIs, and supporting internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, support, and enhance backend systems and APIs that power the Bill Station app.
• Monitor app performance and quickly troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to implement scalable, secure solutions.
• Assist in debugging and resolving customer-reported technical issues.
• Document backend services, infrastructure, and technical procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
• Develop technical proposals and apply for relevant partnership contracts.
• Build and manage relationships with key service providers such as AIRTEL, MTN, GLO, 9MOBILE, SMILE, and BET9JA.
• Coordinate and support product launches, company events, and marketing campaigns in partnership with the marketing team.
• Monitor technical project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular status reports for leadership.
• Lead integration efforts with commercial banks, ensuring robust use of their APIs across the Bill Station platform.
• Educate internal teams on tools, processes, and technical best practices to improve collaboration.
• Research, test, and integrate third-party APIs (e.g., KYC/AML, payment gateways, crypto wallets) with a focus on security and efficiency.
• Act as the technical point of contact for vendors and partners to ensure successful execution of shared initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• You must have strong experience with Python and Django
• 2+ years of experience in backend development or support engineering.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages (Python and Django js, Python, or Java) and experience with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and working with financial services platforms is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with fintech, telecom, or e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
