Backend Developer - Java/Springboot

📍 Placement: South Jakarta | Hybrid (3 WFO 2 WFH)

💼 Employment Type: 3-12 months contract | under Nityo Infotech (extandable)

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and backend development to build and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The role will focus on backend services, microservices, API development, and application deployment within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or JBoss.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Couchbase.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience in leading or mentoring software engineers is a plus.
• Experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and/or IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) is a plus.
• Experience in the life insurance industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and/or JBoss.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including database design and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to other software engineers.
