Role Description

The Senior SQL Developer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL databases and related solutions. Day-to-day tasks include creating and optimizing database structures, writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, and ensuring data integrity and performance. The role involves developing and managing ETL processes to support data integration, reporting, and analytics across healthcare and other industry systems. The Senior SQL Developer will collaborate with architects, analysts, and project teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models and database designs. The position also includes troubleshooting data issues, monitoring database performance, and contributing to best practices and standards for database development and data management.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Development and Database Design.
• Candidates should possess experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Data Modeling and related conceptual, logical, and physical design techniques.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting requirements and optimizing data solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL) and experience with major RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization in large-scale databases.
• Background in healthcare IT or experience working with government or enterprise environments is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
