Show job description

BagginsHQ is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Product Manager to lead the market growth, customer acquisition and subscription performance of Baggins Law, our comprehensive cloud-based legal practice management and AI-powered law firm operations platform.

Baggins Law helps law firms, independent advocates, solicitors and legal practitioners streamline their daily operations through an integrated platform covering matter and case management, client intake, appointment scheduling, legal document drafting, electronic signatures, billing and payments, client communication, law firm websites and AI-assisted administrative workflows.

The successful candidate will take direct ownership of the product's commercial performance within their assigned market, targeting legal professionals and law firms seeking modern technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, client service and practice profitability.

This is an individual contributor position with no sales team or subordinates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently identify, approach and acquire law firms, independent legal practitioners and legal service organisations requiring practice management software.

  • Develop and execute practical product growth and customer acquisition strategies within the assigned market.

  • Promote Baggins Law through legal industry networks, bar associations, law societies, legal technology communities, professional outreach and strategic partnerships.

  • Present and demonstrate the platform's case management, Smart Forms, electronic signatures, billing, client portal, website builder and AI-assisted features.

  • Convert genuine legal-sector prospects and free trial users into paying subscribers.

  • Build professional relationships with law firm partners, managing partners, practice managers, solicitors, advocates and legal operations decision-makers.

  • Identify operational challenges involving case administration, client communication, document preparation, appointment scheduling and billing.

  • Demonstrate how Baggins Law can help legal practices streamline workflows and improve administrative efficiency.

  • Assist prospective customers in understanding available subscription plans and selecting suitable packages.

  • Coordinate technical demonstrations, onboarding and implementation discussions with the appropriate BagginsHQ departments.

  • Maintain customer relationships, encourage subscription renewals and minimise cancellations.

  • Monitor verified subscription revenue, customer acquisition, retention and market performance.

  • Maintain accurate and verifiable records of prospects, engagements, demonstrations and commercial outcomes.

  • Gather feedback from legal practitioners and law firm administrators to support product improvements and market growth.

  • Ensure accurate product representations and appropriately escalate legal-sector confidentiality, data protection and professional compliance requirements.

  • Independently achieve the Company's established verified revenue targets.

Important: BagginsHQ does not provide Company Leads for this position. The Product Manager is expected to possess legal industry knowledge, professional networks and commercial initiative necessary to independently identify and convert genuine business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable professional experience in legal practice management, law firm administration, legal operations, legal technology, legal services business development or related sectors.

  • Strong understanding of law firm operations, case management, client intake, legal documentation, billing and professional service delivery.

  • Practical experience in business development, institutional customer acquisition, SaaS subscriptions or commercial growth within the legal sector.

  • Familiarity with Legal Practice Management Software, Case Management Systems, legal document automation, electronic signatures or legal technology platforms.

  • Established professional relationships within law firms, legal associations or professional legal networks, or proven ability to independently develop such relationships.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with law firm partners, solicitors, advocates, practice managers and legal operations decision-makers.

  • Understanding of legal professional confidentiality, client data protection and law firm software procurement requirements.

  • Strong product presentation, negotiation, relationship management and customer retention skills.

  • Ability to independently develop and manage a commercial pipeline without a supporting sales team.

  • High standards of professionalism, accountability, integrity and commercial discipline.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide verifiable revenue and customer acquisition reports.

  • Access to a reliable computer, stable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment.
