Basware Functional Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced functional professional with a strong background in Accounts Payable processes and Basware software. In this role, you will act as a key subject matter expert, bridging business requirements with platform capabilities. Your main focus will be assessing out-of-the-box features, defining process improvements, and guiding system usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional subject matter expert on Basware platform features, scope, and operational logic.
• Analyze end-to-end invoice booking and Accounts Payable workflows to identify process improvements.
• Assess business requirements to determine standard out-of-the-box possibilities versus configurable options or custom developments.
• Collaborate closely with international project teams and business stakeholders to ensure process alignment.
• Support functional decision-making during process reviews and platform updates.

Candidate Profile

• Functional Platform Knowledge: Practical experience with Basware and a solid grasp of its core platform architecture and capabilities.
• Process Expertise: Thorough understanding of invoice handling, AP booking workflows, and financial documentation lifecycle.
• Solution Assessment: Strong capability to distinguish between native platform functionality, configurable features, and custom development needs.
• Communication: Near-native or C1+ fluent English, with confident communication skills for an international corporate environment.
• Technical Requirement: No technical configuration skills needed; the focus remains strictly on functional analysis and application.

How You'll Work

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location: 100% Remote
• Time Zone Alignment: Flexibility to join occasional alignment meetings during US business hours.
• Travel: Very light travel requirement (maximum of one short trip per quarter overseas).
