This is a hands-on outbound sales role focused on cold calling, prospecting, appointment setting, preparing quotations and converting new business accounts. The successful candidate must be a confident sales hunter who is comfortable working to daily activity targets and monthly revenue goals. A minimum of five years' B2B sales experience within the Australian market is essential. Applicants without this experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Outbound Business Development Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective Australian businesses. Identify and approach decision-makers responsible for purchasing office supplies. Generate qualified leads through cold calling, email, LinkedIn and database prospecting. Introduce the company's products, pricing, delivery capabilities and account benefits. Identify customer requirements, purchasing volumes, current suppliers and buying cycles. Secure appointments, quotation opportunities, product trials and new customer accounts. Follow up prospects consistently until a clear outcome is achieved. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities. Re-engage inactive customers and develop new revenue from dormant accounts. Target Markets Prospect and develop accounts across: Corporate offices and professional services firms Accountants and law firms Construction and trade businesses Warehouses and logistics companies Medical centres, pharmacies and healthcare providers Childcare centres, schools and training organisations Retailers, resellers, wholesalers and distributors Real estate and property management businesses Hospitality and accommodation businesses Government and community organisations Product Sales Promote and sell products including: A4 and A3 copy paper Printer ink, toner and drum cartridges Thermal rolls and shipping labels Envelopes, stationery and general office products Packaging, mailing and warehouse consumables Cleaning and workplace supplies Other wholesale and commercial office supply products Sales Process and Account Development Qualify prospects based on product demand, order volume and commercial potential. Prepare professional quotations and pricing proposals. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved margins. Request current invoices or product lists to identify savings and supply opportunities. Arrange product samples or trial orders where appropriate. Convert quotations into initial orders and recurring supply accounts. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the product range. Maintain regular contact with new customers to encourage repeat orders. Work with customer service and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery. CRM and Reporting Record all calls, emails, meetings, quotations and follow-up activities in the CRM. Maintain accurate prospect information, decision-maker details and sales notes. Manage follow-up dates and keep the sales pipeline current. Provide daily and weekly reports covering activity, opportunities and results. Forecast expected sales and highlight risks affecting monthly targets. Provide market feedback regarding competitor pricing, customer demand and product opportunities. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum five years' B2B outbound sales experience within the Australian market—essential. Proven experience generating new business through cold calling and outbound prospecting. Demonstrated ability to meet sales activity, conversion and revenue targets. Strong understanding of Australian business communication and buying behaviour. Experience speaking directly with business owners, procurement managers and senior decision-makers. Strong negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills. Ability to prepare quotations and communicate commercial value clearly. Excellent spoken and written English. Experience using CRM systems and maintaining an organised sales pipeline. Ability to work independently and remain accountable for results. Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills. Preferred Experience Previous experience selling office supplies, paper, toner, stationery, thermal rolls, labels, packaging or workplace consumables. Experience selling to resellers, wholesalers, distributors or high-volume commercial customers. Existing knowledge of the Australian office supplies market. Experience managing tenders, contract pricing or recurring supply arrangements. An existing network of Australian business customers or procurement contacts would be highly regarded.
