Behavioral Health Content Writer

Renaissance Recovery | Full-Time | Remote

Renaissance Recovery is seeking a talented Behavioral Healthcare Content Writer who knows how to turn complex topics into clear, engaging content that people actually want to read.

This is an ideal role for a strong writer who can move seamlessly between long-form articles, website copy, SEO content, and social media while maintaining an authentic, human voice.

What You'll Do

• Write engaging, SEO-friendly content for blogs, websites, landing pages, and other digital platforms
• Translate complex medical and behavioral health topics into clear, user-friendly content
• Research, edit, and proofread content for accuracy, readability, and brand consistency
• Write compelling social copy for Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams on campaigns and content strategy
• Incorporate SEO and GEO best practices to improve organic and AI-search visibility
• Adapt writing style across different audiences, platforms, and brand voices

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of professional writing or copywriting experience
• Strong portfolio of published digital content
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong understanding of SEO content strategy
• Knowledge of APA style
• Ability to make complicated subjects easy to understand
• Strong storytelling instincts and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
• Experience writing about mental health, addiction, substance use disorders, healthcare, or behavioral health
• Experience optimizing content for both traditional search engines and generative/AI search
