We're partnering with an ambitious Malta-based iGaming startup building next-generation platform technology from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join early, influence core architecture, and shape how critical business metrics are defined across a real-time, event-driven platform.

You'll sit at the intersection of Data Engineering transforming player activity, transactions, and event streams into trusted, scalable data products that drive business decisions.

What you'll be doing:

• Building and owning the dbt layer
• Designing scalable data models and metric definitions
• Working with real-time event data from Kafka-based systems
• Turning ambiguous business requirements into robust data solutions
• Driving automation and leveraging AI tools to accelerate development
• Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams

Tech Stack:

• Java
• Scala
• Apache Kafka
• SQL
• AWS (Athena, S3, Glue)
• PostgreSQL
• dbt

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years in Data Engineering with experience in Java or Scala
• Strong SQL and data modelling expertise
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data tooling
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
• Automation-first mindset with experience using AI coding tools
• iGaming experience (player lifecycles, transactions, GGR) highly desirable
