Role Description The Blockchain Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining blockchain-based solutions that support VittaGems’ asset-backed digital framework. In this role, the specialist will develop and optimize smart contracts, tokens, and protocols related to precious metal and commodity-backed instruments. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing requirements, architecting secure distributed ledger solutions, integrating blockchain components with existing systems, and performing code reviews to ensure reliability and scalability. The Blockchain Specialist will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and finance teams to align technical designs with regulatory considerations and business goals. The role also involves monitoring blockchain performance, identifying security risks, and staying current with emerging technologies and standards in the blockchain and digital assets space.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), including smart contracts and token standards.
• Practical experience with Cryptography concepts and tools used to secure blockchain transactions and data.
• Understanding of Cryptocurrency ecosystems and digital asset management, including stablecoin or asset-backed token models.
• Background in Finance or fintech, with the ability to translate financial requirements into technical blockchain solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more blockchain development platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polygon, or similar) and languages such as Solidity or Rust.
• Experience integrating blockchain systems with web services, APIs, and databases, following secure development practices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to digital assets, especially asset-backed tokens, is beneficial.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and performance optimization for distributed systems is a plus.
