Bookkeeper

Role Description This is a full-time remote Bookkeeper role responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records for Slate Brands. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. The role includes working with accounting software to process invoices, track expenses, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with finance and operations team members to ensure compliance with internal controls and provide clear, organized financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping skills, including maintaining ledgers and managing day-to-day transaction recording
• Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements
• Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools
• Knowledge of finance principles and basic financial analysis
• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience in consumer goods, beauty, or retail sectors is a plus
