Role: Bookkeeper
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm EST
Location: Remote - South Africa
Salary: R22 000 - R23 000

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with hands-on experience using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, excellent communication abilities, and a professional manner when communicating with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and financial statements.
• Manage invoices, payments and expense records.
• Assist with month-end reporting and financial documentation.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar bookkeeping role.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks is essential.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Clear, confident and professional telephone manner.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications.
