What you will do

Our brokerage platform has taken huge leaps to scale into new markets and products. We are looking for a Brokerage Operations Specialist with a broad set of skills, who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and help run daily brokerage operations, and as they build confidence contribute to improving for the benefit of our customers. This includes:

• Run daily brokerage operations, such as:

  • Payment monitoring and management – deposits, conversions, withdrawals

  • Trade monitoring and problem-solving

  • Liquidity & FX exposure management

  • Corporate action management and processing

  • Client money and asset reconciliations

  • Treasury Management

  • Liaising with key partners – securities brokers, market data providers, banks

  • Set Lightyear up for success by building great processes
    

• Manage exceptions and incidents, solving them forever where you can.

• Improve the processes you work on, by understanding impact of changes (using data), and suggesting improvements.

You are

• Be curious and ambitious, with a desire to not just run, but improve the processes and products they touch and understand well.

• Have a knack for numbers and code - find their way around a database using SQL, and with a record of using AI to accelerate their learning or work.

• Highly reliable and of high integrity - can be relied upon for detailed work, and asking for help rather than risk making a mistake

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a brokerage, treasury or financial operations role

• Knowledge of the Financial Conduct Authority’s CASS regulations

• Solid knowledge of financial markets, custody and settlement practices

• Passion for investing

Nice to have

• Deep Experience in one of the brokerage sub-domains, Pensions, Execution, Clearing and Settlement, Client Money

• Product Management background - you’ve built systems together with engineers to handle financial services
