About The Role
Gallagher Bassett is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to contribute to the successful delivery of a major claims platform upgrade. This role serves as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. The Business Analyst will work closely with Claims, Operations, Technology, and Project teams to analyze current processes, identify improvements, and support the design and implementation of system enhancements.
The ideal candidate will be highly data-literate, comfortable working with large datasets, and proficient with tools such as Excel and SQL to validate requirements, analyze data, and support decision-making. Key responsibilities include managing stakeholder feedback, documenting changes, and communicating updates throughout the project lifecycle. The Business Analyst will also lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including creating test scenarios, executing test plans, and validating platform changes prior to deployment.
This is a remote position available anywhere in the UK, with a preference for candidates located near Chelmsford or Ipswich. Qualifications
- Proven ability to organize workload and meet deadlines independently
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with colleagues locally and internationally
- Strong planning and task organization capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate work
- Confidence working with data and multiple systems
- Understanding of data security principles and controlled information delivery
- Experience as a Business Analyst is advantageous
- Knowledge or experience in the insurance industry is beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Ability to read and understand SQL queries
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, understand, and document new reporting requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison between developers and stakeholders during report development
- Create and maintain detailed specifications for new and existing reports
- Test reports to ensure they meet agreed requirements and specifications
- Support or lead report deployment activities and Luminos report release testing
- Assist with report production, scheduling, validation, and quality checks
- Support the Operations Manager in maintaining the report inventory
- Contribute to and lead reporting-focused projects as needed
- Ensure data integrity and restrict information visibility to authorized users only
- Manage stakeholder feedback and document changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test scenarios, executing test plans, and validating platform changes before deployment
