We are looking for a curious and collaborative Business Development Analyst who enjoys connecting with potential customers, learning about their needs, and helping create new business opportunities.

Why here?

TricorBraun is a global packaging leader, with team members working in locations throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. As North America’s largest distributor of primary packaging, we provide innovative solutions to customers from a wide variety of industries. Our customers range from cutting-edge start-ups to the world’s most iconic brands. We put people first and live by that every day. Join us and you will be welcomed by our friendly, motivated and supportive team. Many of the products we distribute are already sitting in your home.

Your role here

As a Business Development Analyst, you will help grow new business by connecting with potential customers and learning about their packaging needs. You will use internal insights, prospecting tools, and personalized outreach to identify and qualify opportunities before connecting them with the appropriate Sales team. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, persistence, curiosity, and the ability to quickly build rapport while maintaining accurate prospect and discovery information within the CRM.

You will work across Digital, Marketing, Sourcing, Sales, and other teams to support lead generation and help turn potential opportunities into strong customer relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Connect with potential customers through phone calls, targeted emails, referrals, and other approved channels.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs, packaging opportunities, timing, purchasing needs, and potential business value.
  • Use prospecting tools and internal information to research businesses, identify the right contacts, and personalize outreach.
  • Follow structured outreach and follow-up activities to develop qualified opportunities.
  • Partner with Regional and Divisional leaders to connect qualified opportunities with the appropriate Sales team.
  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns, digital channels, and other inbound opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, customer, and activity information in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Work with Corporate and Digital Marketing teams to improve inbound lead and website programs.
  • Help improve lead-generation processes and the use of technology to make our work more efficient and scalable.
  • Support additional regions or lead-generation channels based on business needs.

Your experience and background

  • Experience with lead development, prospecting, customer outreach, or a related area.
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage customer or prospect information.
  • Comfortable communicating with potential customers by phone and email.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Curious, persistent, and comfortable asking questions to understand customer needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools. Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG) or packaging is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency in everyday tasks and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable, creative, and willing to learn and grow within the role.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 20%.
