The Role

We are seeking an associate to help early-stage companies identify prospects, build relationships, and develop new commercial opportunities.

The role will initially focus primarily on business development, including market research, prospect identification, outreach, and meeting generation. It will also provide exposure to broader corporate-development work, including strategic partnerships, market expansion, and growth strategy.

Responsibilities

* Research industries, companies, and potential customers.

* Identify and qualify new commercial opportunities.

* Conduct outreach to founders, executives, and decision-makers.

* Build prospect lists and manage business-development pipelines.

* Arrange qualified meetings for KG-Group and its clients.

* Support strategic partnerships and market-expansion projects.

* Prepare concise company, market, and opportunity analyses.

Ideal Candidate

* Based in South Africa

* Professional fluency in English.

* Previous experience in finance, consulting, business development, or a related analytical field.

* Strong research, communication, and commercial judgment.

* Comfortable conducting outbound outreach and developing professional relationships.

* Interested in early-stage ventures, corporate strategy, and investing.

* Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.

This role is particularly well suited to a former analyst, consultant, or finance professional seeking hands-on experience working with early-stage companies.
