About Bolt
Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we're just getting started.
Why join Bolt?
Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.
About the role
Bolt is developing and deploying autonomous mobility across Europe. As we build commercial models and partnerships across the autonomous-driving value chain, we are looking for a Business Development & Partnership Strategy Specialist to support the Head of Commercialization and Strategic Partnerships, Autonomous Driving.
This is a hands-on commercial role focused on structuring and advancing complex international partnerships. You will build the financial cases behind partner agreements, help shape commercial proposals and support negotiations covering areas such as vehicle procurement, R&D cost allocation, intellectual property, aftermarket services and autonomous-driving software licences.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Operations, as well as external partners, to turn strategic opportunities into executable agreements. The role requires strong commercial judgement, advanced financial modelling capability and the confidence to contribute in high-stakes international partner discussions.
The work is highly visible and involves regular travel across Europe. Over time, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of selected partnership workstreams and smaller partner accounts, while helping shape how Bolt brings autonomous mobility to market.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Build and maintain advanced commercial and financial models for partnership agreements, including vehicle costs, R&D allocation, software licensing, IP pricing, aftermarket services, revenue share and investment scenarios.
Analyse commercial terms, cost drivers and deal risks to support clear recommendations in partner negotiations.
Prepare and structure commercial proposals, negotiation materials, term sheets and internal decision documents.
Support international partner negotiations alongside senior commercial and legal stakeholders.
Coordinate inputs from Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering and Operations to ensure commercial agreements are financially sound and executable.
Build strong working relationships with partners and support the ongoing progression of complex partnership workstreams.
Research relevant partner, market and industry context where needed to strengthen commercial proposals and negotiation positions.
About you
You have experience in commercial strategy, corporate development, management consulting, investment analysis, business development, strategic partnerships or another analytical commercial environment.
You can independently build and explain robust financial models for complex commercial agreements, including cost allocation, pricing, unit economics, revenue share, and scenario analysis.
You have supported commercial negotiations, contract discussions, term-sheet development, or similarly complex partnership processes.
You understand how to translate a commercial opportunity into a practical deal structure, identify key trade-offs and make recommendations with incomplete information.
You are comfortable working with senior internal stakeholders and international external partners, building trust while remaining commercially rigorous.
You are highly structured, proactive, and able to keep several cross-functional workstreams moving in parallel.
You are professionally fluent in English and open to regular travel across Europe. (Knowledge of German or French is considered a plus).
Why you’ll love it here
Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.
At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
