About Us

Appficiency is a global technology and professional services firm that solves complex business challenges through the intelligent application of enterprise software, automation, and AI. We're a proud Oracle NetSuite Alliance Partner; Salesforce Crest Partner; Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, and much more: our evolution has taken us well beyond a single platform, making us a multi-technology advisory and implementation partner across ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and AI-driven solutions. What sets us apart is a "technical-first" approach, teams who understand both business logic and deep system architecture paired with a genuine belief that our people are our greatest strength, and that's who we invest in first.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be the front line of Appficiency's growth engine — generating and qualifying new business opportunities within the NetSuite and broader multi-technology ecosystem. You'll focus on key target verticals including Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries (government, education), and Engineer-to-Order/Construction, researching target accounts, running outbound prospecting campaigns, and engaging decision-makers to build a strong pipeline for the sales team. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who understands the multi-tech space and is eager to grow into a closing sales role.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and research target accounts and prospects within ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and AI-driven solutions, with a focus on Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries (government, education), and Engineer-to-Order/Construction
  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified leads
  • Qualify inbound leads, ensuring they meet ideal customer profile (ICP) criteria before handoff to Account Executives
  • Book qualified meetings and demos for the sales team, maintaining a consistent, healthy pipeline
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity in Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness by vertical
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline generation and activity targets
  • Participate in sales enablement training to continuously improve prospecting and qualification skills

What You'll Bring

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Business Development, SDR/BDR, or similar outbound sales role
  • Experience in the Salesforce, NetSuite or other major business application ecosystem or adjacent to SaaS/ERP/CRM space strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries (government, education), or Engineer-to-Order/Construction is a plus
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation or activity quotas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong phone and email prospecting ability
  • Comfort using CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of outbound activity
  • A resilient, coachable mindset with genuine curiosity about prospects' business challenges
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

What Will Set You Apart

  • Genuine familiarity with NetSuite/Salesforce or comparable ERP/SaaS platforms, enabling credible prospect conversations from day one
  • Prior exposure to Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries, or Engineer-to-Order/Construction, allowing for faster ramp-up on vertical-specific messaging
  • A track record of consistently exceeding pipeline or meeting-booked targets in a prior BDR/SDR role
  • Sharp research skills — able to quickly identify the right accounts, contacts, and angles for outreach
  • Strong resilience and coachability, adapting messaging based on feedback and market response
  • Genuine curiosity about clients' business challenges, going beyond scripted outreach to build real rapport

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly pipeline generation and qualified meeting targets
  • Account Executives trust the quality of leads you hand off, with strong lead-to-opportunity conversion rates
  • Your CRM records are accurate and current, giving the sales team reliable pipeline visibility
  • You're building genuine market and vertical-specific knowledge (Trucking & Logistics, regulated industries, Engineer-to-Order/Construction), improving conversation quality over time
  • You're on a clear trajectory toward promotion into a closing sales role (e.g., Account Executive)
