A US-based company runs software that serves as the backbone for manufacturing companies across various sectors, including Industrial and Capital Equipment, Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, and Medical Devices. It helps its clients reach the market 5x faster by automating the hand-off from engineering to manufacturing. They have pioneered a solution that translates CAD data directly into ERP systems, enabling engineers to focus on what they do best: designing and building.

Currently, the team is growing and looking for a proactive, commercially minded Business Development Representative to join the team full-time. This role is for someone proactive, curious, highly organized, and eager to learn - someone who doesn't simply wait for instructions but takes ownership, figures things out, and looks for ways to improve.

As part of the sales team, you will help keep opportunities moving, support customer communication, and take ownership of the operational side of the sales process. Over time, this role can develop into Partner Development / Business Development, where you can manage partner relationships and build your own book of business.

Your work will include:

  • Sales Follow-Up: Review sales calls, prepare follow-ups, share relevant materials, and make sure agreed next steps happen.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain Pipedrive, update opportunities and activities, and make sure deals have clear next steps.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Organize customer meetings, follow-ups, demos, and coordinate with different stakeholders.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate directly with prospects and customers regarding follow-ups, meetings, materials, and next steps.
  • Multi-Threaded Outreach: Help coordinate communication with different people involved in complex sales opportunities.
  • Demo Coordination: Work with the engineering team to prepare demo environments and make sure everything is ready for customer meetings.
  • Sales Operations: Support the sales team with research, organization, documentation, and other activities that keep the sales process moving.
  • AI-Powered Work: Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and the company's internal AI knowledge base to research, find information, summarize, and work more efficiently.
  • Partner Development: As you grow into the role, take ownership of selected partner channels, build relationships, support partner opportunities, and help develop new business.
  • Process Improvement: Help improve and structure sales workflows as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • At least 3+ years of experience working in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Assistance, Business Development, SDR/BDR, or a similar role.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate confidently with international customers and partners.
  • Good business and sales acumen - you understand that sales follow-up is more than simply sending an email.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and self-driven approach. You are comfortable figuring things out instead of waiting for someone to give you every step.
  • High desire to learn and improve, with high standards for your own work.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and digital tools.
  • Basic technical fluency and confidence working with software, virtual environments, and technical teams.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and interested in finding smarter ways to work.
  • You are available for US Eastern/Central Time (approximately 9 am - 5 pm), with some flexibility for occasional meetings outside these hours.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Pipedrive or a similar CRM.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ERP, manufacturing, or technical products.
  • Experience with partner/channel development or business development.
  • Experience working with engineering or technical teams.
  • German, French, or Japanese language skills.

What Makes This Role Exciting:

  • Growth Opportunity: Start in sales operations and potentially grow into Partner Development / Business Development.
  • Real Ownership: You'll have a direct impact on keeping sales opportunities moving and helping the sales team work more efficiently.
  • Customer & Partner Exposure: Communicate directly with customers and partners and develop strong commercial skills.
  • AI-First Environment: Work with modern AI tools and an internal AI knowledge base as part of your everyday workflow.
  • Learn a Complex Industry: Develop knowledge of manufacturing, ERP, technology, and partner ecosystems.
  • Performance-Based Growth: As the role develops toward partner/business development, there is an opportunity for commission based on deals you contribute to.
  • Remote & International: Work remotely with an international team, with Eastern or Central US hours preferred.
