Mjolnir Security is a Toronto-based Canadian cybersecurity firm founded in 2017, specializing in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) and managed security services (MSSP). We have completed nearly 600 investigations for clients across financial services, critical infrastructure, automotive, and government. Our work spans breach response, threat intelligence, security operations, and a growing portfolio of proprietary security tooling. We are a lean, technically deep team, and we are expanding our commercial reach.
The Role
We are hiring a Business Development professional to open doors and grow our pipeline of cybersecurity engagements. You will be the first commercial point of contact for prospective clients and partners, qualifying opportunities, building relationships, and moving deals forward alongside our technical leadership. This is a fully remote role. You can work from anywhere you are legally eligible to work, and we offer a base pay plus commission structure for candidates who want upside tied to results. You will need to speak the language of both buyers and engineers, so a working grasp of the cybersecurity and broader technology landscape is essential.
What You'll Do
- Identify and research prospective clients across our target sectors and build a qualified pipeline
- Run outbound outreach by email, phone, and LinkedIn, and respond to inbound inquiries
- Qualify opportunities, understand client security needs, and map them to our DFIR, MSSP, and tooling offerings
- Book and lead discovery conversations, bringing in technical leadership when deals warrant it
- Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline in our CRM
- Help shape proposals, quotes, and follow-ups, and move deals through to close
- Represent Mjolnir clearly and credibly in writing and conversation, including with technical buyers
- Feed market and competitor insight back to leadership to sharpen our positioning
What You Bring
- Excellent written and spoken English, with clear, professional, and persuasive communication
- A solid understanding of the cybersecurity and technology landscape: common threats, services like DFIR and managed detection, and how security buyers think
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a comparable client-facing commercial role
- The ability to run outreach independently, stay organized, and manage a pipeline without close supervision
- Comfort working remotely and overlapping with core hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Toronto time (Eastern), regardless of where you are based
- Strong listening skills and genuine curiosity about client problems
- Legal eligibility to work in your location and to be engaged by a Canadian company
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling cybersecurity, IT, or professional services
- An existing network in financial services, critical infrastructure, automotive, or government
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tooling, and with structured outbound campaigns
- A relevant technical or security certification, or a background that lets you go deeper with technical buyers
- Additional languages useful for reaching target markets
Compensation and Logistics
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere you are legally eligible to work. Our ideal candidate is based in North America, South America or Europe, which aligns well with our core hours.
- Base pay plus commission. We offer a base salary with uncapped commission tied to results, and we are open to discussing the mix that fits your situation.
- Core hours: you must be available and overlapping from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Toronto time (Eastern), so plan for that overlap wherever you are based.
- Engagement type and currency will be confirmed based on your location and eligibility.
