Business Operations - Student Assistant

Ento works with organisations across Europe. Our customers include some of Europe's largest cities, international retail chains, social housing providers and real estate portfolios in Denmark, Italy, France and the UK. Over 70,000 buildings are currently monitored by Ento, helping customers save more than 25,000 tons of CO₂.

We are a team of around 15 experienced energy engineers, builders and operators across 4 countries, with offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Barcelona. We work in a hybrid setup where some of us are in the office regularly, others join occasionally, and some work fully remote across Europe. We come together in person when it adds value, but our day-to-day way of working is built on trust rather than strict rules, giving everyone a high degree of autonomy. In return, we expect ownership, accountability, and intrinsic motivation.

This Role

Are you a student and a generalist at heart who wants to see how a startup is run? As our student assistant, you'll work closely with our COO in Copenhagen on whatever matters most that week, from commercial and finance to customer projects.

A lot of our business runs on automations and connected tools: the CRM, reporting, finance workflows and everything in between. You'll help keep all of this running day to day, fix what breaks, and build the next automations. A typical week might mean cleaning up CRM data, updating the forecast with new numbers, or testing whether a new tool can take over a manual task.

It's a big reason why our revenue is growing fast while our headcount isn't, and that's on purpose. We get more done per person by automating the right things and making our systems simple enough that the whole team uses them. Helping us do more of that is a big part of the job.

AI tools are part of our daily work, but we're pragmatic about them. Sometimes a simple Zapier automation, a good spreadsheet or a better process does the job better. We want someone who enjoys working out which one fits.

You won't start from scratch, and you won't be on your own. Most of our systems already work, and your job is to improve them and try new things. You don't need to know how to do all of it from the start, but you should enjoy learning it.

What You'll Work On

You won't do all of this at once. You'll work on one or two projects at a time, and they'll change as our priorities do. Past and upcoming examples:

• Building an automation that turns a signed contract into an invoice and onboarding plan without anyone copying data by hand
• Finding out which customers are quietly using the platform less, before their renewal comes up
• Setting up a bot that researches new leads and has a short brief ready before the first call
• Updating the forecast with fresh numbers and figuring out what changed and why
• Automating the commission calculations or the hours reporting for our grant projects
• Digging into a new market, like what it would take to win Spanish municipalities
• Turning the savings from 1,000 buildings into a case study our sales team can actually use
• Checking whether a new tool is safe to use with customer data before the team starts using it
• Testing a new AI tool on real work for a week and telling us honestly whether it's worth keeping
  
  

Requirements

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme in business, economics, engineering, computer science or similar, with at least one year left
• You've built or improved something yourself, like an app, bot, website or spreadsheet
• Interested in AI and automation, and able to judge when a tool helps and when it just adds complexity
• You like finishing things and care that the numbers are right
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Available 10 to 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exams
• Based in Copenhagen, with at least one office day a week
  
  

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, n8n, Attio, PostHog or Webflow
• Previous experience via an internship or student job at a startup or fast-growing company, or in operations or finance
