Business Operations , Supply Chain Management Group - Corporate Business Operation 1 Section , Corporate Business Operation Department , Group Sales Division (GSD)
RakutenJob Description:
Business Overview
In April 2020, Rakuten Mobile launched full-scale services as the fourth MNO (Mobile Network Operator) in Japan-the first to be approved in 13 years-to provide high-quality mobile communication services at fair prices. As of February 2025, we have surpassed 8.5 million MNO subscriptions and are experiencing rapid growth.
We began offering full-scale services to corporate clients in January 2023. As a core business driving the future growth of the Rakuten Group, we are making large-scale investments and attracting significant attention both domestically and internationally.
Department Overview
This department provides mobile services to corporate clients. In this role, you will be responsible for building operational flows for new services, improving existing operations, and managing the vendors who execute these operations. You will join us as a core member to drive further business expansion as we strive to become the No.1 carrier.
The Supply Chain Management Group supports the entire process after a contract is concluded. This includes managing vendors who register corporate line contracts into our systems, handling discrepancies that arise during registration, and coordinating with delivery companies for SIM and device shipments.
You will also be involved in business process improvement; by gathering feedback on system and operational issues from vendors during daily operations, you can coordinate with the System Planning Team to implement necessary improvements.
As the number of Rakuten Mobile subscriptions grows, acquiring corporate line contracts has become increasingly vital. We are looking for new ideas that break away from conventional methods to strengthen our vendor structure and provide robust support to our sales department, with the goal of increasing the number of contracts acquired through sales channels.

Position Details
The Supply Chain Management Group manages multiple vendors who handle the sequence of operations from the moment a contract is secured by sales to the final delivery to the client. Based on feedback from the field, you will improve operations and systems.
The specific tasks performed by our vendors include the following three areas:
・Registering line contract information and application details into the system.
・Handling changes to existing customer system information, such as cancellations, information updates, and bank transfer setups.
・Managing changes to application details (plan changes, option additions/deletions).
You will work in collaboration with various departments, including the Sales Department (which acquires the contracts), outsourced vendors (who perform the operational tasks), delivery companies, the Business Administration Department (which handles sales and order billing management), and engineers (who build and operate the systems used).
While we generally work on-site to facilitate face-to-face communication, remote work is available up to one day per week. Flextime is also available, allowing you to work in a way that fits your lifestyle. Our outsourced vendors are based in Ehime and Fukuoka, and communication with them is primarily conducted via Teams and Zoom. However, there are opportunities to visit them approximately once a year to directly observe operational status and gather feedback.
Work Environment
The team is composed of a diverse group of members, primarily young professionals in their 20s and 30s, including both mid-career hires and outsourced staff. It is an organization with a flat atmosphere where communication is easy.
While this department has traditionally had many new graduates, it now includes members with various backgrounds, including those who joined as mid-career professionals or as outsourced partners.
Mandatory Qualifications:
・Professional experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
・Excel: Experience in aggregating/analyzing discrepancy data and KPI management
・PowerPoint: Experience in creating meeting materials and proposal documents
・Work experience using Japanese (native level)
・Must be a resident of Japan
・English proficiency: TOEIC score of 600 or higher (or equivalent certification)
Desired Qualifications:

Since order management involves coordinating with multiple vendors and departments, skills to smoothly manage projects are essential. Experience in progress management and coordination is particularly valuable.
Preferred skills: Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, experience using project management tools.
2.Communication Skills
High communication ability is crucial as you will be required to collaborate with various parties including clients, the sales department, vendors, and engineers. As much of the work involves remote interaction, the ability to communicate smoothly online is also required.
Preferred skills: English proficiency (for cases where vendors are overseas), experience using remote meeting tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
3.System Understanding and Improvement Skills
As order management involves many system-related tasks, including registration and modification of contract information, knowledge of system usage and operational improvement is required. Skills in system-based problem solving are also important for operational improvement.
Preferred skills: Experience in system development or operation, experience in system improvement projects.
4.Data Analysis and Management Skills
Skills in data analysis and report creation are required for order/billing management and sales management. The ability to analyze progress reports from vendors or the team and propose improvements is essential.

Since system and operational improvements are expected, experience in proposing and executing improvements based on field feedback is a strength. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to efficiency and quality enhancement.
