About the Role
Join our Hospitality organization as a Business Privacy Principal Specialist, supporting Product, Engineering and business teams in applying privacy requirements to their day-to-day initiatives.
You will help teams identify privacy risks, complete required privacy activities and translate regulatory requirements into practical, scalable controls.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal and other stakeholders, you will help ensure privacy requirements are considered throughout the lifecycle of our products and services.
This is a hands-on privacy role, with a strong focus on supporting initiatives, conducting privacy assessments and implementing established privacy processes within the Hospitality business.
In this role, you’ll:
- Conduct privacy risk assessments, DPIAs/PIAs and other privacy reviews for products, solutions and business initiatives.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, IT, Security and Legal teams to identify privacy risks and define practical mitigation actions.
- Apply Privacy by Design principles throughout product and solution development.
- Translate privacy and regulatory requirements into clear, practical and scalable controls.
- Maintain privacy documentation, including Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and relevant data-flow information.
- Support teams in following established privacy policies, standards and processes.
- Identify privacy issues and support remediation and follow-up activities.
- Support privacy requirements related to vendors, partners and customers.
- Contribute to privacy audits, reviews and reporting activities.
- Partner with corporate privacy, Legal and Data teams when specialist guidance or escalation is required.
Your Profile
- Around five years of relevant experience in privacy, data protection, information security, risk, compliance or a related area. Candidates with fewer years but strong hands-on product privacy experience may also be relevant.
- Practical experience conducting privacy assessments, DPIAs/PIAs, risk assessments or similar reviews.
- Experience applying privacy requirements in a product, technology or digital environment.
- Good understanding of GDPR and Privacy by Design principles. Knowledge of other international privacy regulations is an advantage.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, IT, Security and Legal.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical actions and controls.
- Comfortable working hands-on within established processes while independently managing privacy activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluent English; Spanish would be an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RoPA, data mapping, privacy incidents, third-party/vendor privacy assessments or audit activities.
- Familiarity with privacy management or governance tools such as OneTrust, Archer or Collibra.
- Experience with consent and preference management technologies.
- Exposure to CCPA/CPRA, ISO 27701, AI governance or other privacy and technology frameworks.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT.
