Company: WP Engine Job Title: Business Systems Intern Pay rate: €28,800 p.a. pro rata Location: Our Irish hub is based in Limerick but we operate a remote first, working from home model. You decide where you do your best work. If you prefer working from an office, you have the option of working from our Limerick hub anytime you wish. (You do not need to live in Limerick for the internship). You will be part of an exciting team taking our internal platform to the next level both in scale and functionality. Learning to implement, manage, and optimise internal systems and software that streamline business processes, enhance efficiency, and support company operations. The Day to Day Write, test, integrate, debug, and troubleshoot software applications that are resilient, robust, and perform at scale. Deliver business value incrementally and iteratively. Improve automated test coverage and build deployment pipelines to safely and rapidly push new code to production. Be a great teammate to the other members of your Agile team Constantly look for opportunities to automate and optimize Freedom to work remotely anywhere in Ireland. Your Expertise and Passion Experience writing web applications (in any language) Participate in implementation and integration projects working with Enterprise System teams to refine user roles, permissions and controls Improve automated test coverage and build deployment pipelines to safely and rapidly push new code to production. Provide outstanding internal support on system issues including system availability, and performance optimisation Strong development skills, in any object-oriented language, such as Java or Python. Front-end development skills, such as JavaScript or React, would be advantageous but not essential. Natural problem solving abilities, an inquisitive personality, and an eagerness to tackle new challenges Excellent written and oral communication skills Passionate about working alongside a team to determine what solution best fits the customer’s needs Currently pursuing a Computer Science, Computer Software or MIS degree.
