At AstroPay, we're looking for a hands-on, technically driven professional to take ownership of our card operations and drive continuous improvements across our card programs.
You'll investigate complex issues, optimize transaction flows, manage operational challenges and lead initiatives from problem identification through implementation, working closely with card networks, issuing processors and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Fraud and Finance.

- Own and optimize card operations, focusing on authorizations, approval rates, transaction processing and overall reliability.
- Investigate declines, failed transactions and integration issues through SQL queries, API analysis, logs and monitoring tools.
- Lead operational projects end to end, coordinating teams, managing dependencies, removing blockers and ensuring execution.
- Manage issuing processors and card partners, including incident resolution, escalations and performance improvements.
- Monitor operational KPIs, develop dashboards and alerts, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with Product and Engineering on new integrations, card features, launches and migrations.
- Leverage AI development tools to navigate codebases, contribute code changes and implement automations.
- Collaborate with Fraud, Finance and Compliance on relevant operational and card lifecycle matters.
- Experience in card issuing, card processing or card operations.
- Solid understanding of authorization flows, card networks and issuing processors.
- Experience with APIs, logs and monitoring tools.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with Git and AI-assisted development tools.
- Proven ability to independently lead initiatives, coordinate stakeholders and drive execution.
- Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish (mandatory).
