ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a motivated Category Manager Indirect Procurement - EMEA (m/f/d) to join our team at the earliest possible date on a full-time basis. In this role, you will support our organization with the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term category strategies for indirect procurement categories across the EMEA region, aligned with business objectives and regional requirements
- Conduct spend analyses, market assessments, and supplier evaluations to identify cost-saving, standardization, and optimization opportunities aimed at improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Lead regional and multi-site sourcing initiatives and procurement projects, including professional contract and commercial negotiations
- Build, manage, and continuously develop strategic supplier relationships, including supplier performance management, risk management, and regular business reviews
- Identify and implement innovation, sustainability, and value-creation opportunities in collaboration with strategic suppliers
- Lead and develop an international procurement team while ensuring consistent procurement processes and governance standards across the EMEA organization
- Act as a strategic business partner and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, IT, and other functions to ensure early Procurement involvement in business decisions
- Monitor market and technology trends, promote procurement best practices, and support the digitalization and continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or PMP) are an advantage

Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally within technically complex indirect spend categories such as CAPEX, equipment, construction projects, or engineering services

Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and the execution of complex commercial negotiations

Proven experience collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Finance, as well as leading cross-functional projects and international teams

Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, and experience working across diverse cultures and business environments within EMEA

Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional European language skills are an advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with common eSourcing and procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba)

Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as required
