We are currently seeking a Centralized Billing Generalist to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Centralized Billing Generalist to manage billing, claim submission and collections processes across government-funded programs, financial assistance programs, private insurers, and third-party payers. This is a remote-based position. What you’ll be doing: • Manage billing and claim submission processes for government-funded programs, financial assistance programs, third-party payers, and private insurance providers. • Track applications, claims, and submissions requiring follow-up. • Collaborate with clinic teams, healthcare providers, physicians' offices, sleep labs, and external partners to obtain documentation. • Resolve documentation, eligibility, billing, and submission issues. • Investigate and resolve rejected claims, discrepancies, denials, and payment issues. • Complete collection efforts related to outstanding accounts receivable. • Maintain accurate and organized billing documentation. • Communicate with government agencies, insurers, and third-party payers. • Generate reports on remittances, accounts receivable, claim status, and reimbursement trends. • Conduct audits of billing practices, insurance verification, and collections activities. • Stay informed of funding, billing, and insurance policy changes. • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency. What you bring: Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare reimbursement, insurance claims processing, or a related field. Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Administration, or related discipline preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes and reimbursement practices. Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is an asset.
