About RB Pharma
RB Pharma is a Portuguese pharmaceutical distribution and import company, licensed to operate in the human-medicines wholesale market. We act as a sourcing partner for healthcare professional clients, with a focus on availability, transparency and regulatory compliance.
We are strengthening our executive leadership to accelerate the company's next growth phase, backed by a consolidated digital infrastructure (Odoo ERP, proprietary CRM, integration with a B2B procurement platform) and an expanding intra-EU supplier network.
The mission
As CEO, you will hold full responsibility for the executive management of the company: P&L, commercial operations, supplier and client relationships, regulatory compliance (GDP, INFARMED), team leadership and execution of the growth strategy.
In the first 12 months we expect you to:
Consolidate commercial operations and the European supplier portfolio
Ensure full compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and manage the relationship with INFARMED
Evolve operations on top of the already-implemented Odoo ERP and the CRM dashboard in development
Define and execute the plan for commercial expansion and international sourcing
The profile we are looking for
Essential experience
Minimum 8 years in executive leadership roles in the pharmaceutical sector, focused on wholesale distribution, import or trading of medicines
Proven P&L management track record in an SME environment
Deep knowledge of the Portuguese and European regulatory framework: GDP, INFARMED licensing, ALCOA+, pharmacovigilance applied to distribution
Hands-on experience in intra-EU pharmaceutical sourcing (wholesalers, parallel importers, regional distributors)
Comfort with ERP systems — prior experience with Odoo is a plus
Management skills
Leadership of teams in an SME structure, with autonomy and direct accountability
Ability to simultaneously manage commercial, regulatory and financial fronts
Strong relational profile for negotiation with international suppliers, professional clients and regulatory authorities
Rigor in compliance and documentation — this sector does not forgive shortcuts
Nice to have
Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Health Management or equivalent
Prior experience as Technical Director or GDP Quality Manager before transitioning to executive roles
Established network with European pharmaceutical wholesalers and distributors
Fluency in Portuguese and English; French, Spanish or German are a plus
