The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Charging Infrastructure Manager to lead the planning, development, deployment, operation, and optimization of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will manage charging programs across commercial fleets, workplaces, residential locations, public charging sites, mobility hubs, and other strategic locations. The role will cover site assessment, electrical design coordination, utility connections, equipment procurement, construction, commissioning, network operations, maintenance, energy management, vendor performance, and infrastructure expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute charging infrastructure strategies aligned with fleet, mobility, energy, and business objectives.
- Develop long-term charging network plans based on vehicle adoption, demand forecasts, site requirements, and market growth.
- Assess charging requirements for public, commercial, fleet, workplace, residential, and destination charging environments.
- Conduct site feasibility assessments covering electrical capacity, physical layout, accessibility, parking, connectivity, safety, and permitting requirements.
- Determine appropriate charger types, power levels, quantities, and deployment configurations.
- Evaluate AC, DC fast charging, high-power charging, wireless charging, and emerging charging technologies.
- Develop charging infrastructure business cases, investment plans, budgets, and deployment roadmaps.
- Evaluate capital expenditure, operating costs, energy costs, utilization, revenue potential, and lifecycle economics.
- Coordinate electrical engineering studies and infrastructure design with qualified engineering teams.
- Work with utilities to assess grid capacity, connection requirements, tariffs, metering, and upgrade requirements.
- Coordinate transformer, switchgear, cabling, distribution, protection, grounding, and other electrical infrastructure requirements.
- Manage charging equipment selection and technical evaluation.
- Develop technical specifications, performance requirements, installation standards, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage procurement processes for chargers, electrical equipment, software, construction services, and maintenance contracts.
- Evaluate charging-network operators, hardware suppliers, software providers, engineering contractors, and installation partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, warranties, service levels, maintenance agreements, and performance commitments.
- Manage infrastructure projects from feasibility and design through permitting, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate contractors, electricians, engineers, utilities, property owners, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and construction quality.
- Coordinate factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Establish procedures for charger installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Monitor charging-network availability, reliability, utilization, power delivery, and transaction performance.
- Establish preventive and corrective maintenance programs for charging equipment and supporting infrastructure.
- Manage charger faults, outages, connectivity problems, payment issues, and other operational incidents.
- Establish incident-management and escalation procedures for critical infrastructure failures.
- Monitor charger uptime and vendor response times against agreed service levels.
- Coordinate software and firmware updates with charging-network and technology providers.
- Ensure charging stations integrate effectively with fleet-management, energy-management, payment, mobility, and customer platforms.
- Work with technology teams on APIs, data integration, authentication, cybersecurity, and remote monitoring.
- Implement energy-management strategies to optimize charging schedules, load distribution, and electricity costs.
- Evaluate smart charging, dynamic load management, demand response, battery storage, and vehicle-to-grid capabilities.
- Assess opportunities to integrate renewable energy, solar generation, and energy-storage systems.
- Monitor electricity consumption, demand charges, energy costs, and charging efficiency.
- Develop charging policies and operational procedures for drivers, customers, fleet operators, and site personnel.
- Establish safety standards covering electrical hazards, vehicle movement, emergency response, fire protection, and public access.
- Ensure infrastructure complies with applicable electrical, transportation, construction, accessibility, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate permitting, inspections, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
- Conduct infrastructure audits and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Support charging-network expansion into new markets and locations.
- Analyze utilization and demand data to prioritize new charging sites and capacity upgrades.
- Develop location-selection models using traffic patterns, fleet routes, customer demand, utilization, and grid availability.
- Monitor charging technology developments and evaluate emerging solutions for commercial viability.
- Develop infrastructure lifecycle-management plans covering upgrades, replacements, capacity expansion, and end-of-life equipment.
- Maintain accurate infrastructure inventories, asset records, technical documentation, warranties, maintenance records, and site information.
- Develop dashboards and management reports covering network performance, costs, utilization, projects, reliability, and risks.
- Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure monitoring, diagnostics, maintenance, and reporting.
- Provide management with recommendations on infrastructure investment, technology selection, network expansion, and operational improvement.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in EV charging infrastructure, electrical engineering, energy infrastructure, fleet electrification, mobility infrastructure, utilities, transportation technology, or infrastructure project management, preferably within commercial, public, fleet, or large-scale charging environments.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of EV charging technologies and infrastructure.
