Chief Data Officer | Group Head of Data & Analytics | Head of Data & BI
Why this role exists
Yomali Group runs five fast-growing businesses across ecommerce, fintech and BPO. We have plenty of data. What we don't have is one trusted version of it. Different companies report the same metric in different ways. Ask three leaders for "revenue" and you may get three answers.
This role exists to fix that, and then to go further. You'll create the Group's first central data function, reporting directly to the Group CFO. That reporting line is deliberate. This is a business-led role, not a technology one. Its purpose is to make sure every leader in the Group makes decisions from data that is accurate, consistently defined and trusted.
What you'll own
A full audit of how data is captured, stored and reported across all five companies
Design and delivery of a Group data warehouse, built with your Data Architect on Microsoft Fabric and bringing together HubSpot, HiBob, Microsoft Dynamics and more
Data governance and a single set of Group-wide KPI definitions, agreed and adopted across every business
Automated Power BI reporting that lets each company, and the Group, see its performance clearly
Leadership of a team of four: three existing analysts and a Data Architect you'll help hire
Over time, the shift from building the data foundations to using data strategically, helping leaders see opportunities and problems they can't see today
What success looks like
30 days: You've listened across every business, audited the current landscape and know where the real problems are.
90 days: The governance framework and core Group KPI definitions are agreed. The warehouse architecture is signed off.
12 months: The warehouse is live. Every company reports from one validated source. Leadership trusts the numbers they take into the boardroom.
What we're looking for
A track record of building a data function from scratch, not just running an established one
Experience working across multiple businesses, entities or business units
Hands-on data governance: you've created metric definitions and made them stick across teams that didn't want to change
Enough technical depth to direct and sign off architecture decisions, without needing to build everything yourself
Strong influence and change management skills. You can bring senior leaders with you without relying on authority.
Comfort leading in a fully remote, distributed organisation
Bonus points for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI experience, or a background in ecommerce, fintech or BPO
Who thrives here
People who audit before they design. You're comfortable in ambiguity and move quickly without cutting corners. You enjoy explaining the "why" as much as delivering the "what."
You're also composed when the data tells an uncomfortable story. The first consistent definitions will show some businesses in a new light. You'll need the judgement to handle that well, and the conviction to hold the line.
Why people love working here
You'll get real autonomy and fast decisions in a founder-led business with no layers of bureaucracy. Your work has visible impact across several businesses at once, and you'll have close, regular access to Group leadership. Your manager trusts people fully, challenges ideas hard, and is there when you need support.
What's in it for you
A genuine blank canvas, with executive backing to build it properly
A function with your name on it: its standards, its architecture, its team
A modern Microsoft stack, not legacy clean-up
A clear path from builder to strategic partner to the business
Competitive base salary and benefits
Fully remote working
Interview process
Introductory call with Talent Acquisition
Interview with Group CFO
Case discussion: How you'd approach the first 90 days
Final meeting with Group leadership
About Yomali Group
Our companies power more than $1 billion in online sales every year.
Founded over 20 years ago and headquartered in Dublin, Yomali Group builds, buys and grows technology businesses across ecommerce, payments, CRM, customer support and BPO. Our portfolio includes HelpGrid, BuyGoods and MaxWeb.
We're privately owned, profitable and founder-led. We run on a permanent capital model: we reinvest our profits and hold businesses for the long term, not to sell them on. Each company keeps its own leadership and entrepreneurial culture, backed by the scale and stability of the Group. Our dedicated M&A team continues to grow the portfolio.
We have 600+ people across 32 countries and we're fully remote. We hire for talent, wherever it is.
Why this matters for this role: Five businesses, $1B in transaction volume and an active acquisition pipeline. Every company that joins the Group in future will plug into the data foundations you build.
